Good SIG I think. We covered a lot. I think you guys are seeing how powerful this tool is but just wait. We’ll start working with the other Google apps that integrate with Gmail to make the this set of tools super powerful.

This month at the Cloud Computing SIG (soon the name may be called to Web 2.0 SIG) we took a look at Skype the very popular Internet video phone program. I pointed out some very affordable headsets a cameras at Skype.

This month we took a look at Gmail a web based Email client from Google. We learned to change the look of Gmail using Themes. We learned to report SPAM. We learned how to better organize messages in Gmail using Labels and Filters.

Cloud Computing Presentation

Cloud computing is using web based resources to create, store, access, share and back-up data that can be created, stored, etc from any computer anywhere in the world. It could be common and mundane as creating a Facebook page to creating a multi-user database that can be accessed by many.

Kind of a question and answer night. We  talked about backing up your computers data via “The Cloud” using Gladinet.  We discussed the WordPress and other content management systems, how smart-phone are reality Web 2.0 portals and many other topics. It was a interesting evening.
