What is Affinity Studio?

Affinity Studio (also known as Affinity V3 or Affinity by Canva) operates as a unified application that replaces the need for three separate programs.  Instead of launching different apps for different tasks, users work within a single interface that dynamically switches toolsets based on the selected Studio:

  • Vector Studio: Inherits the full engine of Affinity Designer, offering pen tools, node editing, boolean operations, and live shape manipulation for illustration and UI design.
  • Pixel Studio: Incorporates the Affinity Photo engine, providing non-destructive RAW editing, frequency separation, HDR merge, and advanced masking for photography.
  • Layout Studio: Integrates Affinity Publisher capabilities, featuring Master Pages, AutoFlow text linking, baseline grids, and preflight checks for multi-page documents.
