The best way to speed up your computer is to prevent programs and services from starting up when Windows starts. The problem, there are many places to find and stop programs from starting up with Windows.

The first thing to check is “Startup Apps”. In Windows 10 and 11 hit the “Windows key” and type “start” and hit the “enter key.” Uncheck all of the apps you don’t want to start. For me I have everything unchecked with e the exception of the “Windows Security icon”. This will stop much of the activity, and you may want to stop here.
