Linux Turns Thirty Years Old

Linux has turn 30. In those thirty years it has become the most used operating system in, servers, phones, notepad type computers, cars and internet connected things of all types. It has not become very popular as a desktop computer operating system, only used by scientist, and computer enthusiast.

The Linux kernel is a free and open-sourceUnix-like operating system kernel. It was conceived and created in 1991 by Linus Torvalds  for his i386-based PC, and it was soon adopted as the kernel for the GNU operating system,[10] which was created as a free replacement for UNIX. Since then, it has spawned a large number of operating system distributions, commonly also called Linux.
