I’ve been using Google Drive to do a cloud backup of my files for years. Though reasonable priced I felt I could do something more comfortable. Glacier is a file storage service by Amazon Web Services for those just wanting to archive files for safe-keeping. Glacier however is not really for the “normals”. It is a little bit geeky and it requires third-party client software like Fast Glacier. Glacier’s cost $0.004 per GB / per Month. There is a small fee for upload and a much larger fee for download. Because of local backups I hope to never need to download.
I still have a 100 MB Google Drive ($1.99 per month) account for files I access frequently.
