MS MRT will now remove Ask Toolbar

Microsoft has done a really great thing. The Microsoft MRT (Malicious Software Removal Tool) and Microsoft’s Defender (antivirus) now identifies the “Ask Toolbar” as malware. Antivirus companies have refused to do this because it is packaged with “legitimate” software like the Java Runtime. Microsoft was right to do this because no one wants the Ask Toolbar. Not only does it add a toolbar to your web-browser but it changes you home-page. No one wants this! As a reaction to this news Oracle the maintainer of Java has switched to installing the Yahoo Toolbar. No one wants that either!
