Google Hangout is a video chat service that allows you to chat with up to 9 of your friends at the same time with video. While you’re in video chat you can text chat at the same time. you can share you desktop, share  and collaborate on items in your Google Drive . You can share and watch YouTube videos with those in your Hangout.

You can only invite 9 of your friend to participate in a Hangout but that’s no reason for others to miss the fun. You can enable “Hangouts On Air”. When your video queue is full “Hangouts On Air” permits others to watch but not participate.
