The Ireland healthcare system has been hit by the biggest ransomware attack yet. The attackers requested $20 million for the keys to the systems data. The prime minister said they would not pay but I think they may have to because it is projected that the total to get things back in order is $600 million. The moral of this story is to have a protected backup or two, but it cannot be accessible by malware. If you have a backup of your data there is no need to pay.
