Encrypt Your Data For The Cloud

Your using Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive or many others, to backup your computer data. Is it really safe? In most cases uploading of the files is completely secure. The problem starts once the data reaches the server. For those companies to provide many of the services they provide like file-sharing and sharing to other applications the file must not be encrypted.

There are end-to-end encrypted services but you don’t have to switch. The solution is to encrypt before you upload the file. You will not be able to take advantage of any of the storage sites features but no one will be able to view your files. Use Cryptomator to encrypt you files before you upload them.
