You can turn your Windows 8.1 of Windows 10 computer into an Internet media player. As it turns out the tablet mode on 8.1 or 10 and the Modern Apps are perfect for television viewing. I have Windows 10 Consumer Preview installed on my desktop computer that is connected to my TV. There many Windows Modern Apps for TV viewing including of course Netflix and Hulu Plus but there are also many apps associated with TV channels such as Comedy Central, SyFy, VH1, A&E, History Channel and many more. Unfortunately many of these are an applications can only be activated with a current cable subscription. I believe there should should be more apps by TV networks,station and programs that will not require you to login with you cable account.
