Pixlr is a cloud-based set of image tools and utilities, including a number of photo editors, a screen grabber browser extension, and a photo sharing service. Founded in Sweden in 2008 by Ola Sevandersson , it was intended for non-professionals. The suite was acquired on 19 July 2011 by Autodesk. It can be used on PCs, and on smartphones or tablets using an app. Time put Pixlr on its list of the top 50 websites of 2013.

 The suite of apps range from simple and playful to advanced photo editing.

Ont the Pixlr site there are three apps, Pixlr Express, an easy to use editor suited for the beginner, the Pixlr Editor which has many pro features and imm.io for  online phoro sharing.
