One difficult problem with living in the cloud is what do you do when you when you have no Internet connection. Many of the application today can be used offline.

Gmail – You can use Gmail offline by using a Chrome app call “Gmail Offline” of course. This does not look like Gmail but more like Outlook.

Calendar – To use Google Calendar is more straight forward then Gmail. Go to Google Calendar, click  the gear icon on the right then click “Offline” and click “Enable”. The offline experience is identical to the online.

Google Drives (Google Docs) –  This to is straight forward. In Google Drive go to Settings and click “Offline”.
